Wow this looks awesome, although a bit staged in parts. If the game turns out to be up to this standard then it will be great.

I was a big fan of Bioshock from an aesthetic and story-telling perspective... I dig the whole art-deco-meets-steam-punk vibe. I also love the creepy make-you-jump-out-of-your-skin atmosphere and I think they did a good jump of keeping the spirit of the old System Shock games in that way.

OTOH, the thing I hate about Bioshock (and why I only played Bioshock 2 for maybe a half hour before I got sick of it)... is the claustrophobic feeling you get from the environments. I feel like it's very console-centric in that they couldn't really push the limits too much on what they could show onscreen (because of the weak console hardware), and so they made all the spaces really small and  the movement of the creatures feels really fast and jerky. I got no sense of having any sort of weapon-firing skill like I do in a good FPS... my attacks were mostly just spray-and-pray and coming up with a sneaky strategy.

Still, this next one obviously has some more expansive outdoor environments, and I'm sure the story's fun, so maybe I'll give it a try...

Cheers,
Amino

Looks cool but everything that happens seems really random.

After Bioshock 2 I am pretty skeptical of anything with Bioshock in its title, especially if it is called Bioshock yet is in the sky.

I still haven't played the second.  Is it bad, or just a bit of a let down after that first epic game?

Just bit of a let down after the first epic game.
By all means Bioshock 2 is a good game, but it just wasn't on par with it's predecessor.
Thats just my opinion though.
