lol yeah I started off with like 2 pics just blended together with a name w00t!

Tutorials help exponentially! If you go and google Photoshop Signature Tutorials you can find some. Also if you really want to get into making your own sigs check out some GFX forums. I'm part of one at gfxforum.net. Its an O.K. community but theres lots of posts of tutorials which are helpful.

This will sound kinda dumb but i use photoshop and have no clue how to put a border on it but mines fairly simple all i did was crop, blur his scarf and add text.

Make a new layer. Get a 3-5px hard brush, make it a darker color.
Hold the brush down on a corner and drag it from side to side (Hold shift to make sure the line is straight

My biggest issue is usually the background, i know how to crop a render and fit it to a sig, but the background is always what kills me.
