So last night I was playing games with Shar/Dingo in our server.  Totally owned Zero Bad with a pistol shot, then my game gets REALLY choppy like 1 frame every 10 seconds.  So I eventually quit and shut down.  Then today I went to boot up my comp....  I press the ON button, then it turns on, you can hear the DVD drive spin, and then it shuts off.  Turned off all the power etc for 30 seconds.  Tried again.  It went on a little longer but than shut off.  Anyone have any guesses on what's wrong?
If I were to guess I would tihnk power supply?  Maybe not.

it does indeed sound like a power supply.  easy to install a new one.  i suggest buying one (600 watts or higher) and trying it out.  If it fixes the problem then you are good....if not, take it back and we can go from there.

lol its not that bad 4 screws and a few leads, sounds alot like a power suply, or it could be a faulty controler.

not sure if its to late to post on this.

but based on what was posted I would have to dissagree on it being the power supply.  Power supply is still possible but IMO very unlikely

its more then likely an overheating problem with how u described it.
the first two things i would check would be your CPU GPU (video Card)   Make sure all your fans are runing properly when the machine is on.   Posting some specs for your machine would be very helpful in troubleshooting the problem

Does the PC give you any beeps when it starts? if so how many and try to pay attention to weither the sequence of beeps are short or long tones.
