So, I have this problem that I cant solve by myself apparently.  After upgrading my pc, I cannot send outbound communication through vent once cod5 loads up.  I can hear everyone, but cant talk back.  I have googled, yahooed, msn'ed my issue but cant find anything out there.  This problem is ONLY with cod5.  ALL other games work fine.  I can speak through vent up through the load screen.....once the game is up though, I cant talk.

Here is my relevant set up info:

Windows XP - SP3 all updated
Creative Xi-fi - latest drivers
Onboard sound disabled

Here is what I've done:
Reinstalled cod5 and patches
Manually updated PB
checked all Vent and creative settings for something weird
tried disabling push to talk and just tried talk with a live mic
no cod5 binds are set to "left alt" which is what my PTT is set to.

I have not reinstalled the audio drivers for 2 reasons.  One, if every game works besides cod5, how can it be the audio drivers?  Two, for those of you that have dealt with creative drivers before, you know that they can be a bizznatch.  And something that works now may not work after a reinstall. 



Whenever I come back out of cod5, I have to go into vent settings and reset my PTT button.  Nothing has been erased, but it seems like its hung up.  Everything works again after that.

I used to get this problem on my xp machine as well and always get it on my Vista machine.  I have to go to properties and run any program in administrator mode and the same thing for vent to get it to work.

But thats on Vista.

yeah, i tried that, but didnt work.....then i read it was for vista anyway.
