Hi. when i try to connect a server on cod5 , everything fails and i get this message: DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions.

I don't understand a shit ! i've tried to upgrade DirectX a thousand times now but that doesnt help me at all so plz help me !! i need to make this work , cod is my life . . . . .

ok doggy...you either havent installed direct x properly what alot of people do...because when you download if it doesnt automatically come up with the installer youll have to rummage around some shit to find it mmkay?

if that dont work...blame jesus ^^

hehe cod aint my life but i have to make it work :P but looks like i have to blame jesus. . . but thx for the tips , i'll hopefully find a way to run the game :)

Now I get the same message incessantly at cod 4 . my directx problems started when I installed cod5 and they continued when i tried to play cod4 after uninstalling cod5 . I also get this message from time to time; Direct3DDEVICE9::Present failed: Driver iternal errror .

I've allready told u the first message but here it is again . it goes like this; DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the readme for possible solutions.

(My vid card is ATI Mobility FireGL v5200 ......thats maybe why i get all the problems ? )

Plz , somone help me . and i would like to stay away from a reboot  =P

and wtf is PnkBstrB.exe heartbeat stopped and Losing Key Packets ? Punkbuster doesnt allow me to play more than 2 minutes ,

ok go to www. evenbalance.com and download the program that updates your punkbuster.

make sure ur firewall isnt blockin anything from pb and cod.

what windows u have?  does ur graph. card support directx 9 or 10? and what is ur game settings as for direct x?

plus did u try to update your vid. card driver from ur manufacturer's website?

I've updated Punkbuster and my vid card has the newest driver version. I also have directx 9 but it wont download directx 10 cuz it says that i allready got the newest version. I have Windows XP Pro .

My game settings as for direct x ?

xp  doesnt support directx10 so u gotta use directx 9
if u have ur game on 10 it will not work.
i think...

and just one thing:

that is one of the worst graph cards ive ever seen  lol

haha I know . I bought this LAPTOP (IBM Lenovo Z61p) at my fathers work from something called Garderner Data or something and the boss there was like ; this is the best laptop u can get for gaming . and he's a computer dude so of course i put my trust on him .

Then , some days later I get the laptop with THE worst gamiong graph card ever ! and i cant change it either . So that was alot of money wasted .
