Blue Screen

Hey guys,

I get a blue screen that ends up dumpinching cache (whatever the fuck that means) everytime my computer has sat off for a long period of time.  It says something is not firing. I will get more info next time it does it (next time I turn off my pc).

Any initial ideas?

bad memory.....my first step would be to buy new memory, completely swap out your old for the new, then see if it does it.

Um I think if you replace the memory, it should do the trick.

Not sure if you fixed your issue. But next time it dumps see if you can get the code 0x00000__  if your comps flash dumps to fast where you can’t get the code, F8 it and disable it so it stays on the screen for the next time it dumps. Only other thing I can think of is open the side of your case and look for swollen or leaky caps they can also cause so many random errors.

So, my buddy came over yesterday. He ran a checkdisk (there was an error in that), but ti did not solve my problem.  Then he flashed BIOS, turned off system caching, and made it so default was to Performance rather than Windows' choice.  I have not had a crach since!
