...as compared to a standard IR based mouse?

I got me a Razorback today and am trying to evaluate it's performance.

Well, until the other week I had been using some old Microsoft Optical mouse for years.  It finally flipped out so I bought a "gaming" mouse from NewEgg.com.  Its an OCZ dual laser, i run it at 2000dpi and I can definitely tell teh difference between it and my old pos.

I've got a Razer Lachesis...

Best mouse out there imo... can't beat the 4000 dpi sensitivity with the 1000Hz polling rate.  By far the smoothest mouse I've ever used and the capability to go from 4000dpi to 100dpi with the click of a button makes it great for switchin between sniping and SMG'ing.

Logitech All the way.

MX518

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/187&cl=my,en

One of the best on the Market, almost all the professional gamers in www.thecgs.com and other major gaming leagues use this one. Best response time and tracks perfect on almost any surface including icemats, which lazer grade mouse cannot track on.

Also a great price

If you are looking for a lazer mouse (Not a good idea for FPS due to response time, tracking issues and a few other dumb things)

Go with the G5
